Nancy and Richard have just moved to a swanky section of Santa Monica and had their first baby, Jenna. Nancy is returning to work as an entertainment lawyer, Richard is a public defender who can't quite hide his smugness about "working for the people" or keep up with the mortgage payments. When they hire Ana, an undocumented Salvadoran, as their child's nanny, their values are tested. Living Out Explores what it means to be a parent, a friend, and an illegal immigrant in the modern United States of America.

Living Out opened on February 6th and ran through February 11th of 2007 at The Theatre School at DePaul University in Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL. A Theatre School Workshop, the cast featured students from the University's training program: Josephine Keefe (Nancy), Matt Hune (Richard), Christina Nieves (Anna), Wardell Clark (Bobby), Sarah Pitard (Wallace), Allison Pryce (Linda), Amanda Hartley (Sandra), and Jenny Walker (Zoila).
