Welcome to my DePaul CTI Student Webpage. My name is Derrick Alba and I
am a student of DePaul University in Chicago, pursuing a Bachelor's of
Science Degree in E-Commerce Technology [ECT].
ECT is the study and implementation of electronic commerce. In its most
basic sense, it is the exchange of money, goods and services over
electronic means such as the Internet.
The focus of my ECT courses are primarily on web design, both client and
server-side, Computer Programming in languages such as HTML, JavaScript, ASP.NET,
C++, Java and VB.Net and the secure exchange, storage and
retrieval of electronic information.
The main purpose of this web page is to showcase some of the web design
techniques I have learned in the various courses I have taken DePaul
University and through my own research in terms of designing some of my
own personal web pages.
