Information:

Chartres Cathedral has become widely famous and known for it's stained galss windows, sculptures, and gothic inspiration. The south forground dates back to the 13th century and was developed in the romanesque style. 300 years later, the north foreground was developed in the gothic style. One of the most impressive styles that was included in the structural design was the flying butresses that support the exterior walls. Just with Chartres Cathedral alone, there are more than 150 stained-glass windows, which most are the original. The sculpture that have been carved into the structure of Chartres give a high definition and were the first of it's kind since the classical Roman era. The sculptures even extend further out from the structure of the cathedral.
