Vast and grand, monumental
I began Vast and grand, monumental 
after a trip to see some photography at the Chicago Art Institute which had been criminally under-marketed. I wanted to create a place that would keep people up to date on the great things (readings, opening, concerts) going on in Chicago. After awhile it took on a slightly different approach, informing people of those same things going on across the World Wide Web. The design of the site is meant to look like a newspaper.
